The Obituary of Gladys Marie Berryman

A Celebration of Gladys Marie Berryman’s Life, age 97, of Jasper, Texas will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 12, 2025 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper, Texas. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

Marie passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at Timberidge Nursing and Rehabilitation in Jasper, Texas surrounded by her loving family.

Marie was born on March 7, 1928 to Wilber E. and Nell Edith Jones of DeQuincy, Louisiana and was a lifelong resident of Jasper, Texas.

Marie loved spending time with her family and friends on the river, teaching all of the kids to waterski and relaxing with friends.

She was preceded in death by parents, Wilber and Nell Jones; husband of 71 years, Elmer Glen Berryman; great-grandson, Samuel Berryman and two sisters, Willie Ray Owens and Rita Miller

Marie is survived by her two sons, Tim Berryman and wife Becky of Jasper, Texas and Paul Berryman and wife Joyce of Jasper, Texas; two sisters, Beth Bledsoe of Hartselle, AL and Ann Segrest of Nederland, Texas; Five grandchildren; Four great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Jasper.
