The 3rd Annual Public Safety Career Day is in the books

Beech Grove Fire Chief James Gunter said today, "The 3rd Annual Public Safety Career Day is in the books. From the feedback that I’ve received, it seems it was an incredible success!"

According to Gunter there were 7 school districts represented and they estimate well in excess of 1,000 kids passed through. There were 41 entities involved that exhibited. That is a record for this event!

Gunter closed in saying, "Thank you to each and every exhibitor. Thank you for taking time from your schedules to attend. Our goal is to provide the kids with the knowledge and the opportunity to pursue a career in the public safety field. I think each and every one of you did that today, and did it well!"
