Thanksgiving Meal Offered at the Pickett House for Tyler County Residents

WOODVILLE, TX – November 2025 — The Pickett House is opening its doors this Thanksgiving to ensure no Tyler County resident spends the holiday without a warm meal or a welcoming place to gather. Staff members announced that they will be serving a community Thanksgiving Dinner and are inviting anyone who needs a traditional holiday meal or simply a place to spend the day.

According to the Pickett House, enough food has been prepared to serve 150 people, with 110 meals still available. The invitation is extended to residents facing food insecurity as well as those who may not have family or loved ones nearby for the holiday.
Those interested in attending are encouraged to reserve a seat or ask questions by calling the Pickett House at 409-403-2030.
The Thanksgiving meal will be served at the Pickett House, continuing its long-standing role as a community gathering place in Tyler County. The dinner is offered at no cost, with the goal of providing comfort, fellowship, and a traditional Thanksgiving experience for anyone who needs it.
Reservations are first-come, first-served while remaining meals are available.
