Jasper VFW Calls for Donations to Support Central Texas Flood Recovery

JASPER, Texas — The Jasper VFW Post 6380 is asking the public to help provide much-needed supplies for ongoing flood recovery efforts in Central Texas. The Texas VFW has already delivered 50 tons of relief with the help of the Grunt Style Foundation, but more supplies are urgently needed.
In a public statement, the VFW said:
Dear Veterans, Family, Friends, and supporters of the Texas VFW, the Texas VFW has collected and delivered 50 tons of supplies with the assistance of the Grunt Style Foundation to assist with the Flood Recovery in Central Texas. More supplies are needed and we are asking for your help to get the needed supplies.
We are requesting donations of the following essential items to aid in ongoing disaster response and recovery efforts:
Protein Bars
Beef Jerky
Liquid I.V. or Electrolyte Packets
Heavy-Duty Work Gloves
Bug Spray
Sunscreen
Eye Drops
Gallon-Size Zipper Bags
Yellow or Orange Safety Vests or belts
Garden Hoses
Tree trimmers
Machetes
Batteries (All Sizes)
Flashlights
Headlamps
Squeegees
Cleaning Supplies
Handheld Walkie Talkies
Socks
These supplies are critical to both first responders and affected families who are working tirelessly to clean up, rebuild, and stay safe under difficult conditions. Please ONLY donate the items listed above.
For those preferring to donate cash, we will ensure your donation is used for this Disaster Relief Operation. Please bring your donation during the times listed below.
Jasper VFW Post 6380 will be collecting the donated items or cash at the Jasper VFW Post 6380 at 251 N. Main St., Jasper, TX Monday, July 14th through Saturday, July 19th 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. If you are unable to deliver during these times, please contact James Rundberg Post Commander to set up another time for a drop off so that someone can be there to accept the donation.
