Texas Forestry Association to Host Annual “Branching Out” Seminar for Landowners and Industry Professionals

Forest landowners, loggers, and natural resource professionals are invited to attend “Branching Out,” the annual seminar hosted by the Texas Forestry Association (TFA), on Friday, August 15, at the Lufkin Convention Center.
The seminar, open to the public, will run from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., offering valuable insights into reforestation, rural land markets, forest legislation, and more. Registration is $20 and includes lunch. Continuing Education Units (CEUs) will be available for TAFC, TPL, and SAF.
“Branching Out is an invaluable opportunity for anyone involved in the working forests of East Texas to come together and share knowledge,” said Rob Hughes, TFA Executive Director. “Whether you’re a landowner, manager, or logger, this seminar offers insights crucial for the sustainable development of our timber resources.”

Rural Land Markets – Navigating property values and trends
“Tackling 100 Years of Mesophication in my Pine-Oak-Hickory Forest”

Featured speakers include Dr. PJ Putnam, attorney and forest landowner; Anthony Seliskar and Dr. Caylon Yates of Funga; Dr. Greg Grant, Smith County Horticulturist; Dr. Lynn Krebs, Texas Real Estate Center; and Rob Hughes, TFA Executive Director.
