Students completing the Fire Academy Graduated this past weekend

Beech Grove Fire Chief James Gunter released a statement on this weekends graduation of this year's Fire Academy students;

Last night's Fire Academy Graduation was one for the books......and congratulations to all!

It was a great turnout, with around an estimated 200 in attendance.

As usual, our hosts of the event, City of Jasper, Jasper Texas Mayor Anderson Land Jr., Chris Lanier, Robert Hopkins, Sam Job, and Brad Parsons excelled with their comments, welcome speeches, etc.

The knowledge and wisdom shared by our guest speaker, Commissioner Jim Philp, was incredibly moving and resonated soundly with all in attendance. Thanks Commissioner Philp!

To top the evening off was a very good catered meal provided by Aljo’s Food!

A good time was had by all but most importantly, a tradition was started. This was our very first of what we hope will be many fire academy graduations!

The volunteers of all of our area Fire Department's are making the commitment to make your communities a safer place to live and work. We thank each and every one for all they do!
