Sparks goes to Texas Elementary Competition

BROOKELAND, Texas — Charly Sparks, 8, of Brookeland will compete in the Texas Elementary competition Jan. 23-25 in Houston, representing the Jasper-Brookeland Lakes area.

Sparks is a third-grade student at Brookeland Elementary School and is the daughter of Tristan and Misty Sparks of Brookeland.

The event will give Sparks an opportunity to represent her community at the state level.
