Single-vehicle accident injured two early Friday morning

Early Friday morning, November 22, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and Jasper County Sheriff's Department were called out to a single-vehicle crash on FM 1004, near CR 707.

DPS Media Sergeant Shana Clark said, "The preliminary crash investigation indicates that at approximately 5:10 a.m., a 2020 GMC Sierra pickup was traveling south. It is reported that the pickup was traveling around a curve and left the road to the right where it entered the west ditch, struck a fence and overturned".

The driver and passenger were both transported to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Their information is not immediately available.
