Owner of dogs that attacked Postal Worker more than a month ago, arrested on multiple charges
Yesterday afternoon, Jasper County Sheriff’s Office served multiple warrants on the
owner of the dogs that attacked a postal worker on March 19, 2024.
30-year-old Jordan Cormier, of Jasper, was arrested on two counts of Attack by
Dog Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury (3rd Degree Felony) and three counts of Cruelty
to Non-Livestock (Class A Misdemeanor).
Investigators found the two dogs and a pig were being kept in deplorable conditions by
Cormier.
The victim of the dog attack has been released from the hospital after multiple surgeries
and has a long road to recovery ahead of her.
Cormier remains in the Jasper County Jail on bonds totaling $522,500.00 set by JP Pct4 Gina Cleveland.
