UPDATE: East End VFD responded to two additional crashes overnight and early Sunday morning, including a two-vehicle wreck at Highway 63 & FM 1408 and an ATV crash at FM 1738


One Transported Following Two-Vehicle Accident on Highway 190.


At approximately 7:21 p.m. on Saturday, East End Volunteer Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident on Highway 190, just east of the Goodman Unit in Jasper County.


Upon arrival, emergency crews found both vehicles in a ditch, the result of the crash. The cause of the accident is still under investigation. One individual involved in the crash was transported to Jasper Memorial Hospital via personal vehicle.

East End VFD deployed 1 engine, 1 brush truck, and 6 personnel to the scene.


The department extended appreciation to partnering agencies who assisted with the response, including the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office, Texas Department of Public Safety, Allegiance Mobile Health – Jasper EMS, Jasper Xxon Towing & Recovery, and Hatch’s Towing.

ATV Crash on Highway 63 — No Injuries Reported


At 10:33 p.m. on Saturday, July 13, East End Volunteer Fire Department was requested to assist with an ATV accident at the intersection of Highway 63 East and FM 1738.


Upon arrival, crews discovered that a Polaris RZR had lost control after reportedly evading Jasper Police. Thankfully, no injuries were reported at the scene.

East End VFD responded with 1 brush truck and 4 personnel.


The department expressed appreciation for the coordinated response from the Jasper Police Department, Texas Department of Public Safety, Allegiance Mobile Health – Jasper EMS, and the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office.

One Injured in Early Morning Crash at Highway 63 and FM 1408


At 2:58 a.m. on Sunday, July 14, East End VFD was dispatched to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Highway 63 East and FM 1408.


Crews arrived on scene, conducted assessments, and confirmed all individuals had safely exited their vehicles. One person was transported to Jasper Memorial Hospital for evaluation.

East End VFD responded with 2 engines, 1 brush truck, and 4 personnel.


The department extended thanks to Allegiance Mobile Health – Jasper EMS, Texas DPS, Jasper Xxon Towing & Recovery, Jasper Police Department, and the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance on scene.
