Thomas “Tucker” Clayburn Jones 80 of Kirbyville passed away Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Woodville Health and Rehabilitation.
Funeral service will be 2 pm, Saturday, November 1, 2025 at Adams EE Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville with burial at Trout Creek Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1 pm prior to service.
Tucker was born July 10, 1945 in Victoria County, Texas to Stanley Arthur Jones and Marion Lucille (Scurlock). After graduation, he joined the United States Navy. He later worked as a Mariner with the Merchant Marines. He was a proud father, grandpa, and great grandpa. He loved NCIS, Jethro Gibbs, potato chips, playing 42, and pecan pie. He was a true jokester and could make anyone laugh. His Donald Duck impressions were his grandkids favorite and he would do it as many times as asked without complaint. We loved hearing his stories from his time in the Navy and the time he got to meet George Jones… if you know, you know! He loved his family fiercely and will be truly missed.
He is survived by daughter, Brandi Morgan and Kimble of Magnolia Springs; son, Blake Jones and Katrina of Brookeland; grandchildren, Corey Price, Jacob Price, Averie Whitehead and Aaron, Gracie Morgan, Sawyer Morgan, Tucker Jones; great grandchildren, Tanner, Maverick, Hayes, Jave, Henry.
