Obituary of Samuel Lee Williams December 10, 1961 - April 4, 2025

Samuel Lee Williams, age 63, of Baytown, Texas, died on Friday, April 4, 2025 in Baytown, Texas. A family graveside service will be at the Houston National Cemetery at a later date.

A native of Minot, North Dakota and former longtime resident of Jasper, Texas, after high school he joined the United States Navy and retired after 22 years of service. After retirement he became a cross country truck driver. Samuel enjoyed hunting, fishing and reading; but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.

Samuel is survived by his son, Dillon Williams of Baytown, Texas; step-sons, D.J. Abud of Baytown, Texas and Dustin Blessing of Houston, Texas; step-daughter, Marisol Brewster of Canby, Oregon; brother, Mark Brooks of Jasper, Texas; sisters, Becky Williams of Kirbyville, Texas, Susan Williams of Bogalusa, Louisiana and Sarah Barthol of Bogalusa, Louisiana; two step-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Samuel P. Williams and Cora Lee Clark Williams; parents, Samuel Lee Williams, Sr. and Judy Williams Brooks; brothers, Lonny Williams and Stephen Williams and brothers-in-law, Wesley Barthol and John Wilson.

Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Jasper.
