A Celebration of Reginald W “Bill” Willis’ Life, age 93, of Jasper, Texas, will be Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home Chapel in Jasper, Texas with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper, Texas. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Monday, August 4, 2025 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper.

Bill passed away on Sunday July 27, 2025 at his home in Jasper, Texas.

A native of Houston, Texas and resident of Jasper, since 1971. Bill retired from the United States Air Force after twenty-two years of service on June 30, 1971 as an M-SGT and he then worked for the Texas DOT as an assistant maintenance supervisor, retiring on September 30, 1993. Bill was a member of the Tri-Community Voluntary Fire Department, an endowed member of the DeWitt Clinton Masonic Lodge #29 AF&AM of Jasper and also an endowed member of Jasper #291 Order of the Eastern Star. He also served the Grand Lodge of Texas as a Deputy District Grand Secretary overseeing multiple lodges on behalf of the Grand lodge. He was also an endowed member of at least five other lodges in Texas.

Bill was a volunteer for many years for the American Red Cross and The Salvation Army. Bill served at the 911 incident in New York City, among many, many others.

Bill’s family would like to thank the staff of Olive Branch Hospice and especially his care giver, Shawn Caddell.

Bill is survived by his son, Steve Willis and wife Sue of Midlothian, Texas; daughter, Staci Wade and husband Harold of Mead, Oklahoma, and grandchildren, David Wade, Aaron Willis and Crystal Wade.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Ottis Letney Willis and wife, Dolores Willis.
