Obituary of Odene Tucker

July 11, 1939 - October 12, 2025

Odene Tucker, 86, of Colmesneil, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2025 at Hemphill Care Center in Hemphill, Texas.

Visitation will begin 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. service time on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville with burial in Egypt Cemetery in Colmesneil, Texas. Officiating will be Brother Bubba Sheffield.

Odene was born July 11, 1939 to John Pentecost and Alma Pentecost in Colmesneil, Texas. She was a lifelong resident of Colmesneil and a member of the Katy Baptist Church in Colmesneil, where she loved teaching the Children’s Sunday School class. After graduating from Colmesneil High School, Odene attended Beauty College in Beaumont, Texas and worked as a hairdresser in Doucette.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Alma Pentecost; son, Charlie Tucker; and brother, Bobby Pentecost.

She is survived by her son, Chris Tucker of Colmesneil; and sister, Wanda Davis of Colmesneil.
