Noellene Rawls, 78, of Colmesneil, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Dogwood Trails Manor in Woodville, Texas.
Visitation will begin 12 noon until 2 p.m. service time on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville with burial to follow in Grimes Cemetery near Colmesneil. Officiating will be Brother Swain Baker. Serving as pallbearers will be Paul May, Cullen Barker, Mike Marshall, Vance Cowart, James Cloyd, and Walter McAlpin. Honorary pallbearers are Don Barker, Larry Stinson, Elton Hightower, and Jack Lewellen.
Noellene was born May 11, 1947 to Noel and Pearl Powell Rawls in Woodville, Texas.
We are honored to celebrate the life of our beloved aunt, Noellene Rawls, whose boundless love and kindness transformed countless lives. Her remarkable legacy inspires us through the generations of students she nurtured at Colmesneil ISD from 1965 to 2001. As a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, friend, Sunday school teacher, and songbird, she embodied the power of compassion, uplifting everyone she met. Though she'll be deeply missed, her impact will continue to ignite hope, resilience, and joy in our family and community. We love you Noellene. The Pickens family was forever transformed by her loving heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Noel and Pearl Rawls; brothers, Fletcher C. Pickens, and Paul Scott “Scottie” Daniels; nephew, Radie Kirk Pickens; and Niece, Dina C. Tippit.
She is survived by her nieces, Tina Long of Longview, Gina May and husband Paul of Colmesneil, Wanda Ryan of Colmesneil, and Rina Richey and husband Marty of Alabama; 10 great nieces and nephews; 13 great-great nieces and nephews.
Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Woodville, Texas.
