Obituary of Michael "Mike" Wayne Lakey April 19, 1956 - October 30, 2024

Michael “Mike” Wayne Lakey, age 68, of Jasper, Texas passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at Rayburn Healthcare in Jasper, Texas surrounded by his loving family.

A former resident of Victoria, Texas and longtime resident of Jasper, Texas, Mike did carpentry work in the Jasper area for many years.

Mike is survived by his wife, Sandra Lakey of Jasper, Texas; son, Michael Lakey of Jasper, Texas and sister, Lisa Barrow of Orange, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Deuie Lakey and Earlene Fountain Barrow and brother, Roger Lakey.

A private burial ceremony was held at Hancock Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Jasper.
