Born September 16, 1944 to Albert Musslewhite and Ozell McAllister in Kirbyville, she was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Martha Faye Jones, a vibrant soul with a heart full of love and laughter, passed away peacefully. Known for her deep love of family and her unapologetic affection for all things gaudy, Martha brought light and joy to every room she entered.
She cherished time spent around the table, where family meals were filled with stories, laughter, and her signature warmth. A true competitor at heart, she never passed up the chance for a good game of dominos—and more often than not, she won.
Martha found happiness in life’s simple pleasures: watching out the window for company, hunting for treasures at garage sales, and spending time with those she loved most. Her door was always open, and her arms always welcoming. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a beautifully bold spirit. Though she may be gone from our sight, she will forever remain in our hearts.
She is survived by husband of 54 years, John Jones; children, Wayne Adair and Twila, Belinda Trest and Kerry, Beverly Sauls and Rollan, Dana Smith and Robert; step-children, Archie Jones, Theresa Johle; brothers, William Musslewhite, Charles Musslewhite and Cindy; sisters, Barbara Nichols, Norma McClelland; 13 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by sisters, Doris Parish, Billie Jean Pruett; brother, A.D. Musslewhite; great grandson, Weldon Creed Midkiff.
