Obituary of Barbara Wilson August 18, 1932 - April 8, 2025

A Celebration of Barbara Wilson’s Life, age 92, of Jasper, Texas, will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 12, 2025 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper, Texas with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the Funeral Home.

Barbara passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.

A native of Galveston, Texas and longtime resident of Jasper, Texas, Barbara was employed by Seale, Stover and Bisby for many years. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and sewing and was a former member of the Jasper Pilot Club and Jasper Garden Club.

Barbara is survived by her son, Robert Wilson and wife Martha of Jasper, Texas; daughter, Kathy Miller and husband John of Bullard, Texas; sister, Peggy Snoek of Porter, Texas; three grandchildren, Michael Miller, Jordan Wilson and Danielle Grundy and six great grandchildren.

The family would like to give special thanks to Helping Hands and their mom’s caregivers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Norris and Renez Picou; husband of 50 plus years, Elton “Pentz” Wilson and her sister, Gloria Walton.
