Newton VFD had a very busy day Thursday

Busy day with Newton Fire. Fire calls in 3's.

Started with a 6:30 am call to assist Burkeville on a structure fire.

At 3 pm, firefighters responded to a downed power line that trapped a man in a dozer.

Lastly at 8:09 pm called to assist Burkeville with a MVA accident with entrapment involving a Fed Ex trucks and a pick up.

Among that Newton hosted the East Texas Mutual Aid family night which hosted about 70 city and county officials from several surrounding counties.

Long day but that's what we live for....Protecting and Serving our community.
