Newton Eagles - Purple Pride getting ready to GO!!!

NEWTON COUNTY - Newton Eagles are back at it and getting ready for the new football year.

The Newton Sports Page provided the following report:

9:00 am and 85 degrees for the Eagles first intrasquad scrimmage. After putting in a week of learning in practice that have position groups working together the Eagles get a chance today to work as a team. Offense, defense, coming out of the huddle in a timely fashion ready to get the job done are all things that have-to-have repetitions to run smoothly. There were some very fast feet and quick tight jukes that show great promise. Defense was intense and swarming the ball. All these things are always a welcome sight early in the year. The Eagles will have a good team foundation by the time of the first game on August 25th. Purple Pride Never Dies!!
