I am pleased to announce that longtime Jasper Police Department Officer, Cody Christopher, has joined the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office as a Patrol Sergeant.

Cody was born and raised in Jasper and graduated from Jasper High School in 2002. Shortly after his high school graduation, Cody graduated from Angelina College in Lufkin with a degree in Criminal Justice and then graduated from the Angelina College Police Academy. After a short stint with the Kirbyville Police Department, he then joined the Jasper Police Department in 2007.

Cody has extensive experience in all aspects of law-enforcement. He is a certified mental health officer, has worked as a CID investigator, an FTO and a Sergeant. He has thousands of law-enforcement training hours. Cody is also the elected Constable in Precinct # 1 in Jasper County. Cody comes from a long line of law enforcement as his dad is the retired Police Chief in Jasper and his brother currently serves in law enforcement as well.

I am proud to have Cody on board with us and I’m really looking forward to working with him. He brings a unique skill set to our office and can give our men and women the guidance and direction they need while out performing their duties for the citizens of Jasper County. I’ve said it before and I will say it again, our success is always dependent upon the quality of work of our people. Employees like Cody will catapult our office into one of the premier law enforcement agencies in the State of Texas.

I would like to thank Cody for joining our team at the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office. He will do an excellent job for the citizens of Jasper County.
