Local schools announce 2025 Meet the Teacher dates

Area school districts have released their Meet the Teacher schedules to help families prepare for the new school year. These events give students and parents a chance to visit classrooms, meet teachers, and drop off supplies before classes begin.

Tyler County

• Woodville ISD August 11

  • Elementary: 4:00–6:00 PM

  • Middle & High School: 4:30–6:30 PM

• Chester ISD August 4, 5:00–6:30 PM

• Colmesneil ISD August 7, 4:30–6:00 PM

• Spurger ISD August 8, 1:00-2:30 PM

• Warren ISD August 7

  • Fred Elementary: 1:00PM - 3:00PM 

  • Warren Elementary:  Pre K - 2nd 10:00AM - 11:30AM

  • Warren Elementary: 3rd - 5th 2:00PM - 3:30PM

  • Warren Jr High: 1:30PM - 3:30PM 

  • Warren High School:  3:30PM - 5:30PM

Newton County

• Newton ISD August 12

  • Newton Elementary: 5:00–6:30 PM (Meet the Teacher & Supply Drop-Off)

  • Newton Middle and High School: 5:30–6:45 PM (Open House / Schedule Pickup)

• Burkeville ISD July 31, 5:30 PM (All Grades)

Jasper County

• Brookeland ISD August 15 (Time TBA)

• Buna ISD August 11, 4:00 PM (All Grades)

• Evadale ISD August 5, 5:00–6:30 PM (Elementary)
