Lady Cougars Contain Lady Wildcats

Friday night Jasper County was full of anticipation leading up to The South County Showdown in The Ville. Prior to this, The Lady Wildcats hosted the Lady Cougars in the Wildcats Den. Varsity started things off with the Lady Cats coming out strong but lost the momentum which allowed the Lady Cougars to take the first set. The second set both teams went back and forth not giving an inch. This forced the set to go past the normal end of 25 points, the Lady Cougars won by two points 28-26. This put the Lady Cats down two sets in the best 3 out of 5 sets. Unfortunately for the Lady Cats, the Lady Cougars dominated the last set wining the game in three sets 15-4. The Buna Lady Cougars start their second round of district play facing the Kountze Lady Lions at home Oct. 3rd. The Lady Cats travel to Orangefield to take on the Lady Bobcats that have been dominate all season. So whether you’re a Lady Coogs fan or Lady Cats fan come out and support your squad!!
