Kirbyville Teen 1st Runner-Up Miss Southeast Texas

16-year-old Makayla Hebert of Kirbyville competed Saturday evening in the Miss Southeast Texas pageant in Beaumont. There were more than 60 contestants from all over Southeast Texas. Makayla was crowned both Miss Congeniality and 1st Runner-Up!

Many people may know Makayla from her position at Kirbyville Sonic where she works as a Car Hop. She was also in the Miss Kirbyville Pageant this year and won 2nd Runner-Up.

Makayla has only been doing pageants since early this year and has picked up quite a few titles already. She also competed in the Buna Lions Club 55th Annual Little Beauties Pageant and won the Prettiest Eyes category.

Makayla attends Park View Baptist Home School.

The pageant was held at Julie Roger’s Theatre in Beaumont.

Makayla's Guardian is Sheila Harley of Kirbyville and her parents are Steven and Kenya Hebert of Brookeland.
