Joyce Faydell Hicks of Kirbyville dies at age 93

Joyce Faydell Hicks, 93 of Kirbyville passed away Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Paradigm At The Pines in Silsbee. 

Funeral service will be 12:00 pm Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Adams EE Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville with burial at Kirbyville Cemetery.  Visitation will begin at 11 am prior to service. 

Born June 11, 1930 to Charlie Mock and Lydia (Ard) in Tyler County at camp eleven.  She moved to Kirbyville in 1976.

She is survived by her children, Jimmy L. Hicks and Laurann of Newton, David K. Hicks and Melissa of Buna, Melinda E. Eller and Dan of Kingwood; daughter-in-law, Dr. Nancy Hicks of Sugarland; grandchildren, Jason Hicks, Dr. Kelly Hicks, Bro. Derek Hicks and Lauren, Ben Hicks, Jr.; Katy Hicks, Luke Kirbow and Kassie, Matthew Eller and Christin, Caryn McFerrin and Christian, Danielle Eller; great grandchildren, Jaden Hicks, Ali Hicks, Macy Barnett, Gage Hicks, Peyton Hicks, Marley Hicks, Kyle Hicks, Hannah Hicks, Jhett Hicks, Mary Fay Hicks, Luke Kirbow Jr., Alexandra Kirbow,  Daniel Eller, Michael McFerrin.

She was preceded in death by husband, Jim Hicks; son, Dr. Benfard Hicks; parents, Charlie and Lydia Mock.
