JNEC power outage update

POWER OUTAGE UPDATE

JNEC crews have restored power to approximately 2,100 meters since the 7:45 a.m. update. Currently, JNEC crews and contractors are working to restore electric service to 3,660 meters. Crews from other cooperatives continue to arrive to help with JNEC’s restoration efforts.

Although power outages are scattered across the service area, the largest areas experiencing power outages at this time are in the surrounding areas of Buna, Devils Pocket, Evadale, Old Salem, and McGee Bend. We appreciate your patience and understanding as crews work to restore power safely.

Stay away from down power lines and be alert to the possibility that tree limbs or debris may hide an electric hazard. Never cut trees or limbs or remove debris from power lines.
