Recent Events

We recently hosted a Cyber Security Lunch & Learn with Nick “The WiFi Guy,” where attendees gained valuable insights on safeguarding personal and business information. Lunch was generously sponsored by Fish Tales.

Spooky Season Fun

Get ready for Scare on the Square on Friday, October 31st, 2025, in the downtown square! Local businesses and organizations will be handing out candy alongside an animatronic haunted house. Be sure to enter the costume contest and booth contest—with Harbor Hospice donating plaques for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners.

Adding to the excitement, the Historical Commission is hosting a haunted house inside the old jail from 6 PM to 9 PM.

Support Local Students

We are now taking sign-ups for our Texas Scholarships Fundraiser. Donate a creatively decorated Christmas tree or wreath, and all proceeds will go toward scholarships for students at Jasper High School and Brookeland High School.

Community Highlights

Tonight, Sam Rayburn hosts its annual Scarecrow Fest from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Umphrey Pavilion—fun for the whole family!
