Jasper ISD is one of eight rural school districts across Texas to receive a $34,000 grant in collaboration with the Texas Rural Education Association. In addition to funding, cohort members will also benefit from collaboration opportunities and resource-sharing among districts.
This annual program provides much-needed support to rural school districts, especially as a study conducted by No Kid Hungry Texas found that rural Texans displayed the highest levels of food insecurity compared to other groups. Texas Rural School Districts Impacted Include:
