Jasper County Sheriff's Report

February 18, 2025

It’s been another busy week here at the Sheriff’s Office. We are still painting the inside of the jail and it’s look so much better. Hopefully, with cooperating weather next week, we will be painting the outside of the building. I want to again thank our Jasper County Jail trustees for all of their hard work.

On February 11, 2025, the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office conducted a Game Room compliance check along with State Comptroller’s Office CID and the Jasper Police Department. All Game Rooms were found to be in violation of State Law and/or County Ordinances and closed until violations are resolved. Prior to taking office, I contacted most of these establishment operators and told them they would be expected to be in compliance and follow the law and county rules. They will be checked again in the future and they are expected to operate legally to avoid civil and criminal penalties.
