Calvin will be assigned to the Rayburn/Brookeland area. Calvin is currently employed as the DPS Highway Patrol Corporal in Jasper County and will remain in that capacity until the end of the year.
Calvin brings an enormous of amount of professional law-enforcement experience to the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office. He has over 30 years of law-enforcement experience and has been a city police officer, a deputy sheriff and a Texas DPS Trooper. He has thousands of hours of law-enforcement training and was a seasoned investigator prior to his tenure with DPS. Calvin brings years of patrol and investigative experience to our agency. He is very detailed, thorough and knows how to accomplish our mission of keeping our county safe. With the hiring of Calvin, I’m happy to report to the citizens of Jasper County that all of our investigator positions will be filled by the time I take office. These investigators will be assigned throughout our county and they will always be available and accessible to the citizens of Jasper County. I would put our men and women in our CID Division against anybody in the world and I sincerely appreciate their professionalism and willingness to serve the citizens of Jasper County.
