Jasper County Sheriff Chuck Havard made drug and burglary arrests

On January 3rd, 2025, a Jasper County Sheriff’s Deputy was on routine patrol in the Buna area.

The deputy located a suspicious vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. After a search of the vehicle, a crystal-like substance was located inside.

Lacey S. Howard, 24, of Buna was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance (SJF). She was placed in the Jasper County Jail. A concerned citizen contacted the Sheriff several days ago regarding this suspicious vehicle. Great job Deputy Willis!

Havard escorting Mark Herrin of Kirbyville into the Jasper County Jail

On the morning of January 4th, 2025, James Mark Herrin, 61, of Kirbyville was arrested by Sheriff Chuck Havard and placed in the Jasper County Jail on a Burglary of a Habitation warrant, 2nd Degree Felony.
