Jasper County Historical Commission to Host First Annual History Expo

JASPER, Texas — The Jasper County Historical Commission will host its first annual History Expo on July 11 at the Jasper County Courthouse Annex.
The free event, set for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., will showcase East Texas history with breakout sessions, exhibits, and interactive displays. Highlights include sessions on Jasper Steers baseball and Fort Teran, as well as exhibits featuring genealogy, folk medicine, archaeology, reenactors, quilting, old photo scanning, and local history artifacts.
Food and refreshments will be available for purchase, with payment methods varying. Entry and parking are free.
The Courthouse Annex is located at 271 East Lamar in Jasper. Attendees can also look forward to giveaways and drawings throughout the day.
