Jasper County fire believed to be arson

At 6:40 am Tuesday the East End Volunteer Fire Department was called to a residence on County Road 293 (Steer Stadium Road) for a camper trailer that was on fire. While responding dispatch informed responding crews that this incident was being treated as a possible arson fire.

When they arrived, crews found that the fire was already out with damage contained to the living area of the camper.

Jasper County Media Deputy Karli Cherry said, "We responded to the call on CR 293 in Jasper this morning around 6:30 am in reference to a travel trailer on fire. Upon our arrival, we found that a man had left the area (just prior). Currently, the case is being investigated as Arson, with charges pending against the suspect."
