Jasper County Criminal Investigation Department (or CID) Sergeant David Lampman attended the 37th annual Homicide Investigators of Texas Conference in San Antonio this week.
This conference brings in homicide investigators from all over the country and allows them to collaborate and share ideas on similar cases being worked. It’s also a great way to build relationships and connections all over the state and beyond.
One of the guest speakers at this year’s conference was Gil Carrillo. The now retired Detective Carrillo was the lead investigator on the Night Stalker case in Los Angeles in the 1980’s. Richard Ramirez was captured after almost six months of terror and was sentenced to death.
Besides sharing ideas and making new contacts, Sgt. Lampman also received 24 training hours for attending the conference.
Thank you Sergeant Lampman for representing the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office!
