Introducing a new segment devoted to homeless, adoptable pets in our area
Kirbyville, Tx-
Prices for everything seem to be getting higher by the moment, and sadly that includes spaying/neutering pets. Because of this, pets are all too often "hauled off" or simply abandoned when families moved to another location.
ETB is partnering with local rescues and shelters in an attempt to find homes for these beautiful babies. Today, we are featuring a shelter in Kirbyville called 'Hopeful Paws'.
The owners, Lorayne and Bruce Hinman are committed to protecting dogs and finding them quality care and furever homes.
The Hinmans began a dog rescue, Hopeful Paws, and received their 501c3 nonprofit designation in December of 2021. The couple quickly outgrew their previous facility and in June of 2023 purchased their current location.
In recent years support has dropped and donations are down so some needed services simply are not financially feasible at this time. For one, Lorane said, "We're not sending animals to other states for relocation. We have switched gears from those things and now offer community help with dog food, and some vetting, based on donations."
Hinman said that they also have a Facebook page where they collect and resell items to purchase dog food among other necessities.
Below is the Facebook page:
To contact the organization or to adopt, you can email them at hopefulpaws1@outlook.com
Or, if you see a dog you would like to meet, simply look for their card in their gallery and contact the Hinmans directly
