Among the highlights, Nicole Colvin and SFA President Dr. Neal Weaver shared insights that resonated with East Texas attendees. Dr. Weaver addressed the importance of resilience, noting that “raising soft kids can be detrimental to their careers.” Colvin stated, "Rural is a great place to be, we have so many more opportunities for partnerships/collaborations... What makes us resilient is the partnerships that you make and the people we work with and collaborate with, I think has made us such a success. When you listen to Eddie talk... you hear it in their voice, how much they care about where they are."
