Heavy fog and failure to control speed to blame for early morning accident

Just before 6:30 am this morning, Law Enforcement was called out to Hwy 62, south of Buna, for a two vehicle accident.

The Department of Public Safety Media Sergeant Shana Clark said, "The preliminary crash investigation indicates that at approximately 6:29 a.m., a 2006 Ford pick-up and a 2016 Mazda MX5 were traveling north. It is reported that the driver of the Ford failed to control his speed in the heavy fog and struck the rear of the Mazda that was slowing for a stopped school bus."

The driver of the Ford, identified as 19-year-old Benjamin Luna of West Orange, was not injured.

The driver of the Mazda, identified as 60-year-old Linda Pinder of Orange, was also not injured.
