A Hardin County grand jury has indicted a Sour Lake man on a charge of sexual assault. He was booked into the Hardin County Jail, Wednesday, February 4, 2026, on separate child pornography charges.
According to court records, the Hardin County grand jury indicted Christopher Stephen Reviere, 47, of Sour Lake, on January 29, 2026, charging him with Sexual Assault in violation of Texas Penal Code §22.011(f).
Reviere was taken into custody and booked into the Hardin County Jail on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, on four separate arrest warrants charging him with Possession of Child Pornography (50 or more images) under Texas Penal Code §43.26. Authorities state that investigators discovered Reviere was in possession of more than 1,500 images of child pornography.
The child pornography charges are separate from the sexual assault indictment and stem from evidence uncovered during a six-month, multi-agency investigation, according to law enforcement officials.
Reviere was initially arrested in October 2025 after officers with the Sour Lake Police Department and the Galveston County Sheriff's Office located him in Crystal Beach on multiple child sex offense warrants.
The investigation involved extensive cooperation between the Hardin County District Attorney's Office, the Galveston County District Attorney's Office, the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office, the League City Police Department, and the Sour Lake Police Department.
Court and law enforcement records indicate Reviere previously served in the United States Marines and had worked as a firefighter, paramedic in Sour Lake, and as a police officer in Fannin County.
As of Wednesday, Reviere remains in the Hardin County Jail. The sexual assault indictment and the child pornography cases will proceed separately through the court system.
This remains an active and ongoing criminal case.
