JASPER, TEXAS- Today the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 6380 hosted their 3rd annual Trade Days, a swap meet where the community can shop around for various knicknacks and treasures donated or handcrafted by veterans and their families. Though the venue was small, there was an abundance of items for sale as well as a raffle and lunch provided by Aljo’s food truck.

“We’ve had a good turn out,” said veteran James Rundberg. “People come in and they leave with their arms full of stuff.”
Vendors also had tables set up to sell their wares such as wreaths, drink koozies, original pottery, and 3D printed toys. A portion of the profits go towards the Post’s Cameo Santa event.

“I always support anything for our veterans.” Said owner of Anchors and Blossom Heather Winters. “My husband served for 22 years, we lived the life. I will always stand by our veterans and do what I can for them.”

The VFW expressed interest in trying to broaden the scope of Trade Days to reach more in the community next year. “We wanna expand,” Said Rundberg, “We wanna work with the Farmer’s Market, get some of their people here and some of our people where they’re at.”
