Flag Retirement Ceremony held in Jasper yesterday on Flag Day

VFW Post 6380 in Jasper and Boy Scout Troop 932 held a Flag Retirement Ceremony yesterday evening in observance of Flag Day.

The Post and local courthouse flags were changed in honor of Flag Day. Each flag was then retired in memory of a fallen comrade or family member that served and passed on whether in combat or stateside.

This is an emotional ceremony that those in attendance hold near to their hearts and it's never taken lightly. Many have fought for our flag and not returned.

Thanks to our veterans for your service to our nation and to Boy Scout Troop 932 for your help in yesterday's ceremony.
