Early morning wreck south of Kirbyville sends one to St. Elizabeth

The Texas Department of Public Safety investigated a crash on U.S. Highway 96, near County Road 588, that occurred today, April 29, 2024.

 

The preliminary crash investigation indicates that at approximately 5:50 a.m., a 2005 Dodge Neon was traveling south, followed by a 2019 Dodge Ram 2500. It is reported that the Neon was traveling at a slower speed and was rear ended by the Dodge Ram.

 

The driver of the Dodge Neon, identified as 50-year-old Rafeal Aldaco of Jasper, was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

 

The driver of the Dodge Ram, identified as 70-year-old Eliso Guerrero of Houston, was not injured. Guerrero was cited for fail to control speed.
