David Joseph "Joe" Haley

David Joseph "Joe" Haley, 40 of Kirbyville,Texas went to be with Jesus on January 20, 2024. He was born August 24, 1983 in Jasper Texas to proud parents David Wayne and Patty Haley. He lived most of life in Kirbyville and made his home in Call.

Joe was one of the most talented musicians this area has ever known, and he was definitely the most humble. He lived and breathed music and first shared his talent on stage for a crowd at the age of 7. In the next 33 years, his resume included everything from festivals to funerals and all things between! In addition to his profitable music career, he also learned many other trades including: carpentry, learherwork, deer processing, sausage making, flooring work and more. Even after a horrible wreck in his early 20s left him with physical limitations, he never let it stop him from working hard to provide for his family.

To know Joe was to truly know love. He never met a stranger and everyone he knew loved him more than words, and he loved them. He was never shy to tell people he loved them and how much they meant to him.

Joe was preceeded in death by the love of his life Lisa Stanley, grandfathers Robert Hooker and D.A. Haley. Grandmothers Sarah Wiggins Smith and Nannie Mae Watson as well as numerous family and friends waiting at heavens gate.

Survived by his children Naomi, Ayla and David Josephus Haley. Parents Patty and David Haley. Sister's Sharon "Sister" Haley and husband Brent of Kirbyville and Sarah Fussell and Husband Steve of Kirbyville. Grandmother Bettie Haley- Ozan and husbnad Mike of Zion Hill. Family and friends too numerous to count whom he loved dearly.

A memorial service will be held Saturday February 3, 2024 at Call Junction Baptist Church in Kirbyville at 2PM with fellowship to follow. Join us to celebrate his life and all the love he brought into the world. If you would like, you are welcome to bring a dessert or covered dish for the fellowship meal.
