Curtis, Beech Grove and Dixie Communities just North of Jasper have received moderate damage from today's storms.

Jasper County, Tx- Beech Grove Volunteer Fire Chief James Gunter said that 1747 and FM 777 had been closed due to large trees and debris. They are are now open.

Gunter added, "Widespread tree damage has occurred in the areas of the Beech Grove, Curtis, and Dixie communities. As a result, the electrical grid has sustained damages. Expect extended outages in these areas. So far, no reported injuries. Only 1 home received significant damage that we’ve seen. Lots of outbuilding, carports, etc. are damaged as well."
