Clothes dryer fire shook things up overnight in Jasper

Just after 2 am, the Jasper Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to Maple Court Apartments in Jasper due to a dryer heavily smoking.

Jasper Police and EMS arrived to assist as the appliance was quickly removed from the apartment and ventilation began. The family was able to exit safely as no injuries were reported.

JVFD responded with Engine 2, Engine 4 and Tower 1 along with 8 personnel responded.
