City of Jasper - $99,680.00 Forensic Audit Report

JASPER, TX - UHY Advisors Mid-Atlantic Forensics Auditor, Jack Reagan spoke at the Jasper City Council meeting on Tuesday evening, revealed the findings of comprehensive evaluation of the city's financial activity for fiscal years 2019 through 2023.

The Jasper City Council voted in April earlier this year to spend $99,680.00 with UHY Advisors covering a 5-year audit that would focus on 5 subject areas - Jasper United, General Operations, DETCOG Building, Proposition A Jasper Charter and Cambridge Project.

Reagan rated the City of Jasper a "B, B+." Reagan went on to say, "The two things that stuck out at me were the Conflicts of Interest...that's already been taken care of and the Contract Monitoring...that's actually pretty common to have some weaknesses even in large entities."
