Chicken coop fire endangered home near Zion Hill
At 11:19 Wednesday night, Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department was toned out to US Hwy 96 near Zion Hill for a report of a chicken coop and a shed on fire. A home was also in danger as both structures were up against it.
At 11:30 PM, Roganville Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to assist Tri-Community with tanker support on the structure fire.
Roganville responded with Engine 2, Tanker 1, and 7 personnel.
Jasper Volunteer Fire Department was also toned out to assist around 11:33pm. However, upon their arrival, Tri-Community VFD and RVFD had the fire contained.
No injuries were reported for either people or chickens.
