Charles "Chuck" YehlingMarch 11, 1940 - March 23, 2024

A Celebration of Charles “Chuck” Yehling’s Life, age 84, of Toledo Bend, Texas, will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 20, 2024 at the Toledo Bend Baptist Church in Toledo Bend, Texas. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until service time at the Church.

Chuck passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Legacy Nursing and Rehabilitation in Hemphill, Texas surrounded by his loving family.

A native of Collinsville, Illinois, and former resident of Turkey, Chuck moved to Burkeville, Texas in April 2006. He was a graduate of Southern Illinois University and joined the United States Marines in 1959, retiring after 20 years of service as a Gunnery Sargent. He loved fishing, hunting, working in his garden and spending time at the lake.

Chuck is survived by his wife of 62 years, Olivia Yehling of Toledo Bend, Texas; daughters, Renee Lee Parsons of Burkeville, Texas and Tamara Ann Dunn of Copperopolis, California; sister, Susan James and husband Charlie of Alabama; grandchildren, Kenneth Carter, Jessica Dunn, Raquel Dunn and Colin Dunn and great-grandson, Hudson Wharton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Avinelle Yehling.

Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Jasper.
