Car fire in Kirbyville threatened nearby structures

Shortly after 9 pm Sunday night, the Kirbyville Volunteer Fire Department was called out to 2180 FM 1013 West in Kirbyville for a car fire.

Assistant Chief Kennon Ellis said, "No idea what caused the fire. The truck belonged to Casey Jones. He is the stockman for Jasper County. It was a 3500 dodge."
