Both Republican Candidates for Sheriff have agreed

The East Texas Banner has confirmed with both Republican candidates for Jasper County Sheriff that they will take part in a debate hosted by East Texas Banner in 2024.

Current Jasper County Chief Deputy Scotty Duncan (pictured on the right) and recenty retired Department of Public Safety Lieutenant Chuck Havard (pictured on the left) are running on the Republican Ticket for Jasper County Sheriff in the 2024 primary elections.

Date for the event will be between mid-January thru early February.
