Big Buck down in Bon Weir

NEWTON COUNTY, Texas — Jay Gunter of Newton County turned in an 8-point buck Sunday morning around 8:45 a.m.

Gunter said he used a .300 Win Mag rifle and described the experience as unforgettable.

“I thought he was going to jump in the stand with me — crazy hunt!” Gunter said.
